The Camille Pissarro museum exhibits the works of the painter, his sons, but also his friends – such as Paul Signac – and other pre-impressionists or post-impressionists.
Pissarro, a pioneer of the impressionist movement, lived in Pontoise for more than ten years at the end of the 19th century. With Cézanne and then, Gauguin, he painted several hundred works in the Oise valley.
The museum is located in the heights of Pontoise, overlooking the Oise river.
